Not such a great idea...

I had a great idea of getting a goat to mow my lawn for me. I figured in the winter when the grass didn't grow we could just eat the goat, and get a new one in the spring!

Coincidently, on the exact same day the Straightdope posted about the same topic!

It had to be ewe: Could sheep replace the lawn mower?

Apparently the upkeep of goat/sheep would be more work then just actually mowing the lawn. I am so dissapointed...

My wife Victoria is a Celiac and recently started GF Patisserie her ein Clagary. Currently she is selling her cakes and bread every Sunday at teh Bearspaw Farmer's Market. Rain or shine.
For some impressions, here is a blog I started for her:

Can we even have goats in the city? I've often thought having chickens would be handy, but lately the way my family goes through milk I am thinking perhaps a cow is in order!

And I am sure some gullible neighbourhood kid could be convinced to take care of your goat!
